Hickory Nut Gap began as a route for livestock drovers in the early 1800s. Our family’s roots here date back to 1916, when Jim and Elizabeth McClure settled on this land. Over a century later, we continue to care for this land in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Buncombe County.
Today, Jamie and Amy Ager lead Hickory Nut Gap as a Southeast leader in 100% grassfed beef and pasture-raised pork. In partnership with other farms, we're advancing regenerative agriculture to restore soil, capture carbon, and combat climate change.
The Gourmet Chip Company started with a dream of wildly inspired flavors and hand-made chips in 2011 when we opened the doors to a one-of-a-kind cafe in Asheville, NC. With hopes to create snacks for people who are excited about flavors and hand-crafted food, we ended up creating something even more special- a place immersed by comforting chatter and revolving music playlists with locals and tourists alike. We don’t fit the mold of what you’d expect from a chip company found in a mountain town, and we love that.
Matcha Nude was born out of the struggle to find matcha that checks all the boxes—delicious, organic, free of added sugars, affordable, and kind to the planet. After giving up coffee in 2020 due to gut issues, anxiety, and sleep problems, our founder fell in love with the calm, clean energy that matcha provided. But finding a daily drinker matcha that wasn’t intimidating to make or outrageously priced? Nearly impossible. So, Matcha Nude was created to simplify the switch—making high-quality matcha accessible, easy to enjoy at home, and supportive of your wellness journey, without compromising on taste or values.
